Forest Pastured Pork Share - Deposit
This reserves 1 half or whole share of one of our forest pasture raised pigs for Fall of 2020. Final pricing is $5.50/lb hanging weight on a half and $4.50/lb hanging weight on a whole. Price includes all processing except for smoking and sausage fees. Our pigs average between 180 and 230 pounds hanging weight. PRODUCT INFO
We raise our pigs in a stand of mixed hard and soft woods, with natural browse available to them. Their diet is supplemented with a standard grain ration, as well as apples, pumpkins, squash, and acorns that we collect from local suppliers. We do not feed "slop" or restaurant leftovers to our animals. All animals are humanly raised and given ample space to run around and "just be pigs". You are welcome to schedule a visit to the homestead at any time to meet your pig and see our set up if you wish.
DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY
Because raising an animal from start to finish is a long process, we rely on deposits to hold spots for those interested in purchasing from us. If you wish to cancel your spot, we ask that you attempt to find someone to take your place. We will do everything in our power to find a replacement buyer to take your place as well. However, in the event we are unable to find a replacement, your deposit would be forfeited.
PICKUP INFO
Pickup is either at our homestead in Greenfield, NH unless otherwise agreed upon beforehand. We are happy to discuss delivery of your share. Please reach out as soon as possible to talk if this is something you would be interested in.
PROCESSING INFO
All pigs are slaughtered on farm by our mobile butcher. Expect fresh cuts in 1 week to 10 days, and smoked items 2-3 weeks after processing
